Bicol, eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao will have cloudy skies, rains due to shear line, trough of LPA
The shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of southern Luzon and the Visayas on Thursday while the amihan or northeast monsoon will affect northern and central Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
The Bicol Region, eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line / trough of Low Pressure Area (LPA) with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for northern and central Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The eastern sections of southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
