PAGASA: Parts of the Visayas, Mindanao to experience rains

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region due to the Easterlies, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its daily weather bulletin, PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The Frontal System will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley and Apayao, it said, adding that flash floods or landslides are also possible due to frequent moderate rains.

Meanwhile, the Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

On the other hand, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced over the rest of the country. — Ma.
