LPA, shear line to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao – PAGASA
A low pressure area (LPA) and the shear line will affect Southern Luzon and parts of Visayas and Mindanao, according to weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday.
The LPA was located 245 kilometers west of General Santos City at 3 p.m., PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast.
Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas, and the southern portion of Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and shear line.
The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
Wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon, eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, and Visayas will be moderate to strong while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal water conditions for the rest of the country will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
