LPA, shear line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan
At 3 a.m. Thursday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 465 kilometers west of Zamboanga City or 255 km South Southwest of Puerto Princesa City, as the shear line will be affecting Visayas and the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon, PAGASA reported.
Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, rest of MIMAROPA, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Luzon and the Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving to the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Mindanao will experience moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate.
