Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Aurora, 4 areas due to LPA, shear line


The shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of southern Luzon and the Visayas, the northeast monsoon will affect northern and central Luzon and the easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country on Friday, PAGASA reported.

Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, eastern Visayas, and Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms Low Pressure Area (LPA) / shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon, eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, and Visayas is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Luzon and the Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Mindanao, meanwhile, will experience moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate.
