Easterlies to bring scattered rain showers over Caraga, 6 other areas
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday over Caraga, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and southern portion of Palawan, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may result during times of moderate to heavy rains.
The easterlies are currently affecting Central and Southern Luzon, as well as Visayas and Mindanao.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands meanwhile will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeasterly surface windflow.
As for Metro Manila and the rest of the country, these areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
