LPA to bring rains over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Bohol – PAGASA

A low pressure area (LPA) is set to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Bohol, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.

The LPA was last spotted 395 kilometers east of General Santos City, PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. weather forecast.

The weather bureau said the LPA is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast is light to moderate, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
