LPA to bring cloudy skies, rain over Palawan, Mindanao –PAGASA

A low-pressure area embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and the Zamboanga Peninsula, PAGASA said Monday.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the LPA was spotted 100 kilometers north-northwest of Zamboanga City.

The weather bureau added that there was a slim chance of the LPA  developing into a tropical cyclone.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing northeast would prevail over northern Luzon, causing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country would experience a light to moderate east-to-northeast wind flow, causing slight to moderate coastal waters.

QC temperatures rose to a 34.4 °C maximum at 3:30 p.m. and minimum temperatures dropped to 24.5 °C at 5:15 a.m., according to PAGASA. — DVM, GMA News
