Cloudy skies, scattered rain in Kalayaan Group of Islands due to LPA


Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail in parts of Kalayaan Group of Islands due to a low pressure area (LPA), PAGASA said on Tuesday.

The LPA was located at 235 kilometers West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan or 295 kilometers east of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan, according to the weather bureau.

It also advised of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for northern Luzon will be moderate to strong moving east, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed forecast moving east to southeast while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/BM, GMA News
