ITCZ, LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN
Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Low Pressure Area (LPA), PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
At 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated at 230 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City. The LPA, embedded along the ITCZ, is affecting Mindanao.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the frontal system, with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Extreme northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate winds moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. —BAP/KG, GMA News
