Cloudy skies, scattered rains forecast for Caraga, Davao, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN due to LPA/ITCZ


At 3 a.m. on Thursday, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 490 kilometers east of Davao City and embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) that will be affecting Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

Caraga, Davao Region, BARMM, and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
