PAGASA: LPA, ITCZ to bring scattered rain showers over Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula
A low pressure area (LPA) and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga and the Zamboanga Peninsula, PAGASA said on Thursday.
The LPA was located 175 kilometers east of Davao City as of 3 p.m., the weather bureau reported.
In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, Caraga and the Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for the whole country is light to moderate moving east to southeast, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate. —Mel Matthew Doctor/VBL, GMA News
