Cloudy skies, scattered rains forecasted over Mindanao, eastern Visayas due to LPA, ITCZ


At 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 220 kilometers east of Davao City and embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) that will be affecting Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

Mindanao and eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The whole country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
