LPA, Habagat to bring rains over parts of country
Two weather systems will bring rains over parts of the country, PAGASA said Tuesday.
According to PAGASA's 4 p.m. weather forecast, a low pressure area was located 420 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales at 3 p.m., while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will affect western Visayas and Mindanao.
PAGASA said the LPA and Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula.
This could cause flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Residents were advised of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The whole archipelago will experience light to moderate wind speeds, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.
The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. —Mel Matthew Doctor/VBL, GMA News
