LPA, Habagat to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over NCR, Central Luzon, 10 areas


At 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated over the coastal waters of Calauag, Quezon, PAGASA reported.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela, and mainland Cagayan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA and southwest monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving southward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
