Yellow rainfall warning up over Albay and Sorsogon

PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over Albay and Sorsogon on Monday morning due to heavy rains from the trough or extension of Tropical Depression Florita.

The rainfall warning was hoisted at 11 a.m.

Under PAGASA's rainfall warning system, areas with yellow rainfall warning may experience 7.5 to 15 mm of heavy rains in one hour which may continue up to the next two hours.

"FLOODING in low lying areas may still prevail and near river channels," PAGASA said.

Light to moderate to at times heavy rains meanwhile are currently affecting Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, Northern Samar, Romblon, Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro. The rains may continue for two to three hours and affect areas nearby.

PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned to take the necessary precautions and monitor the weather condition. —KG, GMA News
