Localized thunderstorms to bring cloudy skies, isolated rains over NCR, rest of country
The southwest monsoon or Habagat will be affecting the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau continues to monitor the active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), Severe Tropical Storm Ma-On (formerly Florita), which is located 905 kilometers west of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 125 km/h and moving in the west northwest direction at a speed of 30 km/h.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought about by localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The western section of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
