Habagat, thunderstorms to affect country
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and localized thunderstorms will affect the country in the next 24 hours, weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said in its 4 p.m. bulletin.
It warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Super Typhoon Nanmadol (formerly Josie) was estimated at 1,265 kilometers northeast of extreme Northern Luzon at 3 p.m.
The tropical cyclone passed briefly through the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday.
Forecast wind speeds will be slight to moderate while coastal water conditions will be moderate for Northern Luzon and slight to moderate for the rest of the country.
