Parts of PH to have cloudy skies, rain showers due to ITCZ
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will still be the dominant weather system as it would affect Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said on Thursday afternoon.
According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather bulletin, Palawan, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at time heavy rains, the state weather bureau said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Affected residents were advised to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The whole archipelago will have light to moderate wind speeds with slight to moderate coastal water conditions, with waves ranging from 0.6 meters to 2.5 meters high.
The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:46 a.m. on Friday.—Mel Matthew Doctor/LDF, GMA News
