PAGASA: Flash floods threaten some Visayas-Mindanao areas
The trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will be affecting parts of Eastern Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.
Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Mindoro Provinces, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA cautioned residents in affected areas of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Wind speed forecast for Extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate to strong moving northeast, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country, will experience light to moderate wind speed forecast moving northeast to east and coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate. —LBG, GMA News
