ITCZ to bring scattered rainshowers over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said the ITCZ may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the regions of Visayas, Mindanao and Bicol and the provinces of Palawan and Quezon.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Isabela province and mainland Cagayan due to the shear line.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public on possible flash floods and landslides due to the rainfall.

Forecast winds over extreme northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country will be moderate to strong, to be accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters. Light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters, meanwhile, may be experienced over the rest of the country.

Minimum temperature was monitored at 5 a.m. at 25°C while maximum temperature was at 31.9°C at 2 p.m. — Sundy Locus/BM, GMA Integrated News
