Scattered rains over parts of eastern Luzon due to shear line


The shear line will be affecting the eastern section of Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.

Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Camarines Norte, and the northern portion of Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction while  coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
