Shear line, Amihan to bring rain over parts of northern Luzon

The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will continue to spur rains in parts of northern Luzon, PAGASA said Tuesday.

According to the state weather bureau's 4 p.m. bulletin, the shear line—or the tail end of a frontal system—may bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Cagayan, while the Amihan may cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Batanes province.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Further, strong winds and rough coastal waters are forecast in Northern Luzon. The rest of the country may have light to moderate winds, to be accompanied by slight to moderate waters.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 5:30 a.m. at 23.8ºC while the maximum temperature was 32.8ºC at 1 p.m. — Sundy Locus/BM, GMA Integrated News
