LPA to bring scattered rains over MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Bicol, eastern, western Visayas


At 3 a.m. on Thursday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 135 kilometers northeast of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte or 100 km southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar as the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon, PAGASA reported.

MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Eastern and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of LPA and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The northern and eastern section of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas  will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
