3 weather systems to trigger rains across Philippines

Three weather systems may trigger rains in several parts of the country, according to state weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday.

In its latest bulletin, PAGASA said the trough of the Low Pressure Area (LPA) may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Visayas and Mindanao while the localized thunderstorms are expected to cast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Palawan.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon (Amihan) may bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA warned the public against the possible flash floods and landslides that may occur in the affected areas due to the rainfall.

Strong winds and rough coastal waters may be experienced in extreme Northern Luzon while moderate to strong winds and moderate rough waters may prevail in the eastern section of the country. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds may blow over the rest of the country, to be accompanied by slight to moderate waters.
