Rains expected over Luzon due to Amihan


The northeast monsoon (Amihan) will continue to affect Luzon and will trigger rains across parts of the region, PAGASA said Tuesday.

According to the state weather bureau, Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned flash floods and landslides may occur in the affected areas due to the rainfall.

Forecast winds in Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to strong. It will be accompanied by moderate to rough waters. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters are expected to prevail in the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
