Northeast Monsoon to bring rains over parts of Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) continues to affect Luzon on Sunday and will bring rains over several areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon may expect cloudy skies with rains due to the monsoon. Due to moderate to at times heavy rains, flash floods or landslides may result.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon except for the Bicol Region and Palawan on the other hand may expect partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon.

The Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line. Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas, and slight to moderate in Mindanao.
