Easterlies continue to affect eastern sections of Visayas, Mindanao

Isolated rain showers will continue to prevail across the country due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau PAGASA said on Thursday.

In its 24-hour weather forecast, the agency said the easterlies also continue to affect the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned landslides and flash floods may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

At the PAGASA Science Garden in Quezon City, the highest temperature was reported at 1:50 p.m. at 32.8°C, while the lowest temperature was 23.2°C at 6 a.m.

Light to moderate winds and coastal water conditions will be experienced across the country.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:53 a.m. on Friday. —Sundy Locus/VBL, GMA Integrated News
