LPA off Zambales to bring rains across Luzon —PAGASA

A low-pressure area (LPA) off Zambales (formerly Tropical Depression Amang) continues to spur rains across parts of Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

The LPA was estimated at 195 kilometers west-northwest of Iba, Zambales based on PAGASA's 4 p.m. forecast.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in Zambales and Bataan due to the LPA while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods and landslides in the affected areas due to the rainfall.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions are still being experienced over the country, the agency also said.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:43 a.m. on Saturday. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
