PAGASA: ITCZ to bring rain showers over Palawan, Mindanao
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies and rain showers over Palawan and Mindanao, PAGASA reported on Wednesday afternoon.
According to 24 hour public weather forecast issued at 4 p.m., the BARMM, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
However, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms is expected, PAGASA said.
The wind speed over Southern Luzon and the Visayas will be light to moderate, with the wind direction moving southwest to southeast while the of Luzon will have light to moderate wind speed, moving southeast to southwest.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau said Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speed moving southwest to west and the coastal waters over the country will be slight to moderate.
