ITCZ to bring rains across Mindanao, Palawan

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Mindanao continues to spur rains across parts of the southern and western portions of the country, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 4 p.m. forecast, the state weather bureau said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers, and thunderstorms in Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Region, and the southern portion of Palawan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies and the localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against flash floods or landslides that may occur in the affected areas due to the expected rainfall.

Meanwhile, forecast wind conditions will be light to moderate, which is expected to be accompanied by slight to moderate waters.

The highest temperature peaked at 34.8°C at 1:50 p.m. while the lowest was 25.5°C at 5 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:30 p.m. It will rise at 5:32 a.m. on Thursday.  —Sundy Locus/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
