LPA, habagat, localized thunderstorms to bring rain over parts of the country
The Low Pressure Area (LPA), southwest monsoon or habagat, and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy skies, rain showers and thunderstorms over various parts of the country on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
At 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated to be at 510 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes. The southwest monsoon, meanwhile, will be affecting the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and southwest monsoon. The weather bureau reported that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the west to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
