Habagat to bring rain over Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao


The southwest monsoon or Habagat will continue to bring scattered rain over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

The Visayas, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and BARMM will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon. Flooding or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon will experience moderate winds moving in the southwest to west direction with moderate coastal waters.

The wind speed forecast for Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate moving southwestward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
