Easterslies, amihan to brin scattered rains over parts of PH

The easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country while the effects of the northeast monsoon (amihan) will be felt in extreme Northern Luzon areas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Bohol, and Lanao del Sur will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain    showers or thunderstorms easterlies and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
