Amihan to bring light rain over north, Central Luzon

The Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative, and Cagayan Valley Regions, as well as Central Luzon, could expect partly cloudy to cloudy conditions accompanied with isolated light rain due to the Amihan or Northeast Monsoon, according to PAGASA's Friday afternoon forecast.

The rest of the country would, meanwhile, be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of these showers and thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon, the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and Eastern Visayas would experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal conditions, while the rest of the country would have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun would rise at 6:13 a.m. on Saturday morning.

PAGASA reported on Thursday said that a low-pressure area may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility sometime on Saturday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
