PAGASA: Amihan to cause rains over Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is affecting parts of Luzon while the rest of the country is affected by the Easterlies, according to PAGASA on Wednesday.

In its daily weather report, PAGASA said cloudy skies with rains will be experienced in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of the said weather condition.

Northern Luzon may have strong winds with rough waters, while the rest of Luzon will be having moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise at 6:22 a.m. on Thursday morning. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
