Amihan, easterlies to bring rains over parts of the country

The northeast monsoon (amihan) will be affecting Luzon while the easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be rough.

The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be light to moderate.
