Shear line, amihan to bring scattered rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas

The shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas while the northeast monsoon (amihan) will affect the rest of Luzon, PAGASA reported.

Bicol Region, Davao Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Surigao del Sur, and Surigao del Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line and easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise will be at 6:23 a.m., sunset at 5:41 p.m. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
