Shear line, amihan to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas
The shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas while the effects of the northeast monsoon (amihan) will be felt in the rest of Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.
The Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Quezon will be cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas is strong and moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.
The wind speed forecast for the rest of Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
