Shear line, easterlies, Amihan to bring rains over several areas
Parts of the country will have rain showers on Monday due to the shear line, easterlies and Northern Monsoon (Amihan), according to PAGASA's weather forecast.
The shear line is affecting the eastern section of Visayas, the weather bureau said.
Eastern Visayas, Capiz, Aklan, Iloilo, Bicol Region, and Romblon may expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line and easterlies. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
The Northeast Monsoon meanwhile is affecting Luzon on Monday.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The rest of the country meanwhile may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the eastern section of Southern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
