PAGASA: Shear Line, Amihan bring rains over Luzon

A shear line is affecting the eastern parts of Central and Southern Luzon, while Northern Luzon is feeling the effects of the Northeast Monsoon.

According to PAGASA's daily weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon, a shear line may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

The Amihan or Northeast Monsoon may cause cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley, and could bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of said weather conditions.

Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao may have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of Mindanao is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:05 a.m. on Thursday. Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
