Thunderstorms, rain showers over PH due to easterlies —PAGASA
Easterlies may bring rain showers and thunderstorms over the country on Monday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
In its 24-hour public forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
These are due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
Possible flash floods and landslides may be experienced during severe thunderstorms, it warned.
For wind and coastal water conditions, the entire country may encounter light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 2.5 meters.
The highest heat index that may be experienced on Monday is in Virac, Catanduanes, at 43 degrees Celsius, which is within the “danger” level, according to PAGASA’s forecast on Sunday.
Heat cramps and heat exhaustion are likely in areas experiencing a danger level heat index, according to PAGASA. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA Integrated News
