Easterlies to bring warm, humid weather over PH -PAGASA

Warm and humid weather would continue to prevail over the country due to the Easterlies, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

“Nakakaranas po tayo ng mainit na panahon sa buong bansa dahil sa Easterlies. ‘Yun pong Amihan o Northeast Monsoon umaabot na lang po sa bandang Taiwan area,” said weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.

(We are experiencing warm and humid weather due to the easterlies. The Amihan reaches only the Taiwan area.)

Aurelio added that there were no low-pressure areas (LPAs) monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) nor over the Pacific Ocean.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides in areas that experience severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters would prevail over the country’s seaboards.

The sun would set at 6:07 p.m. It will rise Tuat ay at 6:02 a.m. on Tuesday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
