Easterlies to bring rainshowers over parts of country

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered or isolated rainshowers over the eastern section of the Philippines on Thursday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Based on its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the easterlies will particularly cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Cagayan Valley and Aurora.

Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains may occur in these areas.

The easterlies or localized thunderstorms will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

This may result in possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon and the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds, and slight to moderate seas.

The sun rose on Thursday at 5:55 a.m, and will set at 6:08 p.m.—Giselle Ombay/AOL, GMA Integrated News
