Easterlies to bring hot, humid weather over PH — PAGASA

The warm and humid weather will persist over the Philippines in the next few days due to Easterlies, according to PAGASA.

Weather specialist Benison Estareja on Monday said isolated rainshowers are likewise seen over the eastern section of Visayas, Mindanao, and parts of the Bicol Region.

“Patuloy po ang pag-ihip ng hangin galing sa Pacific Ocean, also known as Easterlies. Ito ring Easterlies ang magdadala ng init at alinsangan at pag-ulan sa Silangang parte ng Visayas, Mindanao at bahagi ng Bicol Region,” said Estareja.

(The Easterlies will continue to bring hot and humid weather in the next few days. It will also spur rains in parts of Eastern Visayas, Mindanao, and the Bicol Region.)

No typhoon is expected to enter the country’s area of responsibility in the next three days, he added.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the effect of the Easterlies.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions are forecast over the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon while the rest of the country may have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters.

The highest temperature hit 34.1°C at 1 p.m.
