Trough of LPA to bring rain showers over Davao Region

The trough of a low pressure area affects southern Mindanao, while the ridge of a high pressure area extends over the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, PAGASA said Saturday.

The LPA's trough is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, the state weather bureau said in its 24-hour weather forecast.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may be experienced throughout the rest of the country because of localized thunderstorms.

Flooding and landslides may occur due to these weather systems.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters may prevail across the country.
