Dangerous heat index expected in 25 areas on April 23
The heat index may rise to dangerous levels in around 25 areas in the country on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, according to PAGASA.
Based on the latest PAGASA Heat Index bulletin, temperatures of 42°C to 46°C may be experienced over the following areas:
NAIA Pasay City, Manila — 42°C
Science Garden, Quezon City — 42°C
Dagupan City, Pangasinan — 44°C
Bacnotan, La Union — 43°C
Aparri, Cagayan — 44°C
Tuguegarao City, Cagayan — 43°C
Echague, Isabela — 43°C
Iba, Zambales — 42°C
Clark Airport, Pampanga — 42°C
Baler, Aurora — 42°C
Sangley Point, Cavite — 42°C
Infanta, Quezon — 45°C
San Jose, Occidental Mindoro — 42°C
Puerto Princesa, Palawan — 45°C
Aborlan, Palawan — 45°C
Legazpi City, Albay — 43°C
Virac, Catanduanes — 44°C
Masbate City, Masbate — 46°C
Juban, Sorsogon — 43°C

The lowest heat index levels were predicted in Baguio City, Benguet at 28°C; and BSU, La Trinidad, Benguet at 29°C.
Heat indexes that rise to dangerous levels may cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion, as well as heat stroke, for individuals exposed to continuous heat.
