Scattered rain, thunderstorms expected over south Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) would bring cloudy conditions as well as scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay, weather service PAGASA reported in a Tuesday afternoon forecast.

Meanwhile the rest of the country would be under the influence of the Easterlies and localized thunderstorms. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms could be expected in these areas.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of severe thunderstorms.

Winds across the country would be light to moderate from the east to southeast, while coastal conditions would be slight to moderate.
