Batanes to have scattered rain showers due to shear line

A shear line continues to affect Extreme Northern Luzon on Monday and will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, PAGASA said in its forecast.

Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.

The shear line is where the northeasterly wind flow and easterlies meet.

The easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, meanwhile are affecting the rest of the country.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
