Habagat to bring clouds, rain showers to Metro Manila, parts of Luzon

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain to parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, on Monday, according to PAGASA.

In its 4 a.m. weather outlook for the day, PAGASA said Habagat will affect Palawan, Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.

The easterlies, meanwhile, may bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Caraga and the Davao Region. The rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms.

The public is warned of possible flash floods and landslides during heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA also said the western section of Luzon may experience light to moderate winds blowing southwest to south, with slight to moderate coastal waters. 

The rest of the country, meanwhile, may experience light to moderate winds blowing east to southeast with slight to moderate coastal waters. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
